Meet the Mimis

We’re Amelia and Madeline, a pair of cousins who happen to share a nickname—Mimi. After discovering a shared love for needlepoint, we started this shop to bring fun, modern designs to the stitching community. It’s not your Mimi’s needlepoint…except, well, it is because that’s our nickname. You get it.

Our canvases combine a little bit of southern snark, a touch of nostalgia, and a whole lot of personality. Each design is thoughtfully created to spark creativity and joy for stitchers of all levels.

In Fall 2025, Mimi's Needlepoint will be opening in Bishop Arts in Dallas, TX! We can't wait to meet y'all in person and host stitchers of all levels to shop, learn, and build community.

Meet Amelia

I was born and raised in East Texas, went to college at Ole Miss, and now live in Lake Highlands with my husband, our Boykin Spaniel, and two rescue pups. By trade, I’m a CPA with a career rooted in finance and strategic planning—but outside of spreadsheets, I’ve always craved a creative outlet.

Designing, painting, and stitching canvases is where I get to balance the numbers with something more colorful. At Mimi’s, I’m the main designer behind our line of canvases, and I love bringing a mix of personality, tradition, and modern style into each one. For me, needlepoint is about the joy of creating something with your hands and being part of a community that shares in the craft.

Meet Madeline

I was born in East Texas and raised in Dallas, spent eight years in New York, and now call the Bishop Arts neighborhood home with my husband and our two long-haired mini dachshunds, Finnegan and Murphy.

Before starting Mimi’s, I built my career in magazines, PR, and events — working at brands like D Magazine, Glamour Magazine, Daniel Wellington, Bespoke Post, and more. That experience gave me a love for creativity, storytelling, and the importance of building community.

I’m a proud University of Oklahoma grad and am currently pursuing my MBA at SMU. Along the way, I fell in love with needlepointing as a way to slow down and create something—and even more, I fell in love with the people I met through it. Mimi’s was born out of that passion: a modern, welcoming space for all stitchers to come together, share in the craft, and feel part of a creative community.
